Our design crush today is Rrres - a design studio based in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Rrres studio create incredible limited collections for home interiors using traditional craft techniques.
Their work is based on the experiences living in the Oaxaca region, the remarkable people they meet and the learnings about Latin American culture through the process.
We're excited to offer their oversized palm sculptures to our customers. each culture is made by the artisans of Tiamacazpa, Mexico - and handwoven using traditional basket weaving techniques and reinforced with an internal reed structure.
The sculptures are the familia, with Mother, Father, Daughter, Son and Baby A all represented.
Each rug is handmade by Zapotec weavers using traditional methods, as well as new techniques. Made with 100% wool and woven by pedal loom. Every piece is unique and requires time and dedication by master weavers to complete.
